As a global finalist, you represent the best from your part of the world and are now competing with the best from other parts of the world.
As a regional winner, you are already part of the Alumni of Global Startup Awards, which has been growing since the very first season in 2012, when everything started with the Nordic Startup Awards.
This coming Global Grand Finale Days will take you back to the beginning. More specifically, the first Nordic grand finale took place in Denmark.
It will be the second time the global finale will take place in Denmark. See below a video from the last Global Grand Finale and the networking event that took place the day before.

This invite-only networking event is hosted in the elegant Danish Industry building, where we will bring together Regional Winners, Investors, Corporate and Government Partners, Jury members, Ambassadors, and former winners from different regions.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Winning the regional round gives you/your startup a chance to compete in the global round automatically. Regional winners such as yourself are automatically nominated to their global round within their original category; the following two exceptions are in place:
If you are a regional winner of Best FinTech, Best AI/ML, Best HealthTech, Best AgriTech, or any other category that is not a Global Category, you will compete in the Best Vertical Tech.
Winning Regional People’s Choice Awards nominates you to compete in the Best Vertical Tech.
Additionally, you/your startup will receive an additional nomination that simultaneously runs with your original nomination. According to the following:
Given the Green Theme of the event, you will receive a Global Nomination to compete Globally in Best GreenTech if your application meets the Best GreenTech Criteria.
To celebrate the success of the Diversity Role Model Category that was launched in CESAwards and EASAwards in partnership with Porsche® in 2021, regional winners that fit the Diversity Role Model Category Criteria will receive a Global nomination to compete Globally in Diversity Role Model Category.’

HOW TO WIN
After Startup has been allocated to different categories according to the conditions above, the jury ranking process starts where nominees are ranked, and the top-ranked in each category is announced as a Global Winner in that category.
Public voting is the chance for startups to reach out to their network to collect votes. Public voting is equivalent to one jury vote. The startup/Individual with the highest accumulated public votes is automatically announced as the People’s Choice Awards winner.
Here is the timeline for the Global Competition:
Start of Jury Application Process: December 25th 2022
Start of Jury Ranking Process: January 11th 2023
Public Voting Starts: January 16th 2023
Deadline For Jury Ranking: February 15th 2023
Public Voting Ends: March 28th 2023
Announcing Global Winners: March 29th 2023
Make sure to update your current profile in the competition system before the 10th of January, 2023. If you are nominated in more than one category, navigate through the upper-right corner dropdown menu to view and update your application one by one.
